Li Tiejun was born in Meixian County, Guangdong Province in 1901, and is a veritable rich second generation, but he also worked hard the day after tomorrow, and was admitted to the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, and became classmates with Hu Zongnan, Chen Geng, Chen Mingren, Du Yuming and others. In the military academy, Li Tiejun and Chen Geng have the closest relationship, calling them brothers, talking about everything, and almost bowing down. So, why did the two later part ways again? The fuse was the famous "Zhongshan Ship Incident". After the outbreak of the Zhongshan ship incident, Chen Geng had a great conflict with the principal Chiang Kai-shek, and also broke with many of his classmates at that time. In the end, before Chen Geng left, the brothers saw him off and had a casual meal, Li Tiejun was still persuading Chen Geng, wanting him to change his mind, but Chen Geng refused without hesitation. Li Tiejun was also young and vigorous, and directly announced that the two of them had broken off their righteousness and left with their glasses. 
From then on, the two of you take your Yangguan Road, and I take my single-plank bridge, which have nothing to do with each other, but the anger in their respective pent-up hearts always wants to find an opportunity to compete to see who is on the right path. As the saying goes, "Ten years is not too late for a gentleman to take revenge", and after 20 years, they finally have the opportunity to meet. In 1947, Hu Zongnan transferred three integrated divisions and eight brigades to form the Fifth Corps, and appointed Li Tiejun as the commander of the corps, stationed in the Luoyang area. On the other side, Chen Geng and Xie Fuzhi's corps have just crossed the Yellow River south and advanced into western Henan. At that time, there was a huge disparity in the strength of the two sides, Li Tiejun had more than 70,000 people under his command, and it was all American equipment, and then looking at Chen Geng's side, it was very shabby, only more than 40,000 people, and the equipment was incomparable. However, don't underestimate Chen Geng, a military command genius, Li Tiejun has met his nemesis this time, Chen Geng came up with a "morning glory tactic", using more than 5,000 people from two brigades as an introduction, first leading Li Tiejun's large army away, until it dragged down Li Tiejun's baggage troops, and finally led them to Funiu Mountain, and when they were exhausted, they would find the right time to annihilate them all. 
And Li Tiejun's ability is not blown, after all, to be friends with Chen Geng, there must be two brushes, so he didn't take the bait at first. But later, Li Tiejun couldn't help Chen Geng from attacking many times, if he always stood still, he would definitely be scolded by Lao Jiang for shrinking his head as a turtle, and finally fell into Chen Geng's trap, and walked to Funiu Mountain, where the mountain road was rugged with tanks and heavy artillery. Chen Geng was happy now, and the old classmate was finally recruited, and he immediately ** it. However, Chen Geng did not have a quick victory, after all, the military strength was still insufficient, and in the end, after more than ten days of fierce fighting, Li Tiejun's Fifth Corps was completely annihilated. And Li Tiejun was not only beaten by Chen Geng, but also made Hu Zongnan completely disappointed in him, and never reused him again. Until November 1949, Chiang Kai-shek had no one to use, so he had to promote Li Tiejun again and let him garrison Hainan. But at this time of the Liberation War, it was difficult for anyone to come, and Li Tiejun was defeated again, so he had to run to the United States. In 2002, Li Tiejun died in the United States at the age of 101, which can be regarded as a very long life.
