The transformer will produce large noise during operation, and the general noise is the operating frequency of the transformer itself, or the cause of vibration of the equipment, etc., if these noises are not controlled, they will have a greater impact on people's lives. Here are some of the reasons that cause transformer noise and how to control substation noise.
First, the reason for the high noise of the transformer
1. The noise emitted by the transformer is generally caused by the regular winding or deformation of the iron core and the coil, and the vibration of the transformer body caused by magnetostriction. In terms of the actual situation, it will generally be the iron core, and the other is the winding of the coil. And then there's the cooling equipment. Of course, there are some harmonics. Pollution from the power grid causes transformer noise.
2. In the case of no load, sometimes noise will be generated, for example, in the case of transformer electrodemagnetization, for example, the size of the silicon steel sheet has changed slightly. The magnetic material of the silicon steel sheet, as well as the size of the silicon steel sheet. Another is the mains frequency. It sometimes produces high-frequency waves above the second harmonic. At this time, it will resonate and make the noise louder.
Second, substation noise control methods
1. Control of substation noise.
The noise control of the substation mainly includes reducing the noise of the body and cooling equipment, and several methods such as sound absorption, vibration reduction and sound insulation, and noise pollution control through substation site selection can be adopted.
2. Reduce the noise of the transformer body.
A low-noise power transformer is used, which uses magnetostriction-reduced and annealed cold-rolled silicon steel sheets. Monolithic "step stacking" is carried out, using the process of not stacking iron yokes. Pay attention to the tensile force applied in the direction of the rolling of the silicon steel sheet. Make full use of the tension of the surface coating of the silicon steel sheet, eliminate the wave of the silicon steel sheet during the core assembly process, and take uniform compression measures.
3. Reduce the noise of cooling equipment.
As far as possible, substations use self-cooling radiators or forced oil circulation air coolers, and noiseless fans can also be manufactured in various configurations. In addition to propagating from the doors and windows to the outside environment, the noise of the main transformer also propagates to the outside environment through the air duct mouth. The air duct mouth cannot take sound insulation measures like the doors and windows, because the air duct bears the heavy responsibility of ventilation and heat dissipation in the main transformer. After taking sound insulation measures, the indoor temperature will rise, which is not conducive to the operation of the transformer.
4. Control of noise in the main transformer room.
The air inlet shutter of the main transformer room is located at the lower position of the main transformer room, and the air inlet louver has a rainproof structure. Noise reduction measures include replacing the access door of the main transformer room with a soundproof door. The walls are arranged with sound-absorbing walls, and the air intake shutters are replaced with sound-absorbing shutters.
