Enriching the study and cultural life of the elderly is an important measure to actively cope with the aging of the population and better meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly. Huang Yuguang, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chief physician of the Department of Anesthesiology in Beijing, suggested that the supply of high-quality resources for learning and cultural activities for the elderly should be expanded through multiple channels, so as to bridge the daily "digital divide" in society and meet the practical needs of the elderly of different ages.

The supply of social resources for the learning and cultural life of the elderly is insufficient and uneven. Huang Yuguang said that some studies have found that the spatial distribution of China's universities for the elderly is extremely uneven, and the overall structure is characterized by polycentricity and agglomeration. In addition, the elderly face a "digital divide" in digital learning and life, and there is no "Internet Connection" or "Internet Connection" skill level is low, which leads to serious inconvenience for the elderly in digital social life and anxiety in the face of digital operations.

First of all, it is necessary to solve the problem of the elderly 'having school and learning well'. Huang Yuguang suggested that multiple measures should be taken to expand the supply of high-quality resources for the elderly's learning and cultural activities, according to the scale, structure and development trend of the regional elderly population, rational planning and layout, new construction, reconstruction and expansion of a number of community schools, and promote government agencies, enterprises and institutions, all levels and types of schools (kindergartens), community activity centers, libraries (rooms) and other places to open to the elderly in an orderly manner, and provide age-friendly services. We will further expand the Internet penetration rate, carry out extensive public welfare digital skills popularization training for the elderly, advocate "digital feeding" at home, and help more elderly people overcome the difficulties of using digital tools. We will further promote the age-friendly design and transformation of smart terminal equipment, learning platforms and resources, and help the elderly better integrate into the digital society.
