Zhai Zhihai, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman and president of the elite group, said that running a good "big ideological and political course" is the key to solving the fundamental problem of "what people to cultivate, how to train people, and for whom to train people".
In order to effectively improve the quality and effectiveness of ideological and political education, and further promote the high-quality development of moral education, Zhai Zhihai put forward the following suggestions on building an integrated mechanism of "big ideological and political courses":
First, strengthen the organization and leadership of the "big ideological and political courses" and establish and improve the overall planning and coordination work mechanism. Second, establish and improve the school-family-community integration collaborative education mechanism that is actively led by the school, the family takes the initiative to fulfill its responsibilities, and the society effectively supports it. Third, all types of schools at all levels actively promote the integration of "big ideological and political courses" in primary and secondary schools that are vertically connected, horizontally connected, and internally and externally, so as to achieve the integration and organic coordination of all systems, levels, school stages, and courses. Fourth, start the construction of an integrated curriculum system of "big ideological and political courses", and carry out top-level design, overall planning, overall arrangement, and systematic promotion of the syllabus, curriculum system, curriculum standards, and textbook revision of ideological and political courses in primary and secondary schools. Fifth, establish a target system for the construction of the teaching staff of the "Great Ideological and Political Course", increase the training and selection of the teaching staff of the "Great Ideological and Political Course", and establish an independent evaluation system for the teaching staff of the "Great Ideological and Political Course". Sixth, we should pay close attention to planning and launch the integrated evaluation system of "big ideological and political courses" as soon as possible, and put forward assessment and evaluation standards and method requirements for the educational concept, curriculum system, textbook construction, teacher team, practice base, education model, teaching methods, supervision and inspection of "big ideological and political courses".
