Are you looking forward to having a good computer assistant to help you with all kinds of tedious tasks? Microsoft is bringing a major update to Copilot for Windows 11 users, giving it more useful skills to put you in control of your PC.
Starting at the end of March, Copilot will add the following features:
Change more Windows 11 settings, such as turning battery protection on and off, showing device information, enabling Live Captions and Reader, and more.
Integrate with plugins for services like OpenTable, Shopify, and Kayak to make restaurant reservations, shopping, and travel arrangements.
Add AI editing features to the default app Clipchamp and Photos, such as Smart Erase and Auto-Removal** to mute.
Improved widget and window capture to make desktop organization more efficient.
Copilot's goal isn't just to complete simple instructions, but to become your computer's co-pilot and handle more complex tasks automatically. In the future, it will be able to open and control apps, or even replace some of the app's features.
The addition of add-ons also opens up endless possibilities for the future of Copilot. Restaurant reservations and travel arrangements are just the beginning, and more apps and services will be added to the Copilot ecosystem in the future to make your experience even more convenient.
Microsoft is incorporating more AI capabilities into existing Windows apps. For example, the Photos app will add a smart erase feature, similar to the eponymous feature in Google Photos; The Clipchamp editor will add a new feature to automatically remove mutes.
Copilot's evolution will bring a new experience to Windows users, so let's wait and see!
