Nandu previously reported that according to the Beijing Chaoyang District People's Court, Su Xiangmao and Zhai Xinxin met on March 30, 2017, registered their marriage on June 7, 2017, and divorced on July 18 of the same year. On September 7 of that year, Su Xiangmao jumped to his death. In April 2023, the "Su Xiangmao Zhai Xinxin Case" ushered in two related civil cases - the civil first-instance judgment of the post-divorce property dispute case and the gift contract dispute case, and Zhai Xinxin was sentenced to return about 10 million yuan of property to Su Xiangmao's family and was revoked from the personal ownership of the two properties.
After the first-instance verdict was announced, Su Xiangmao's family confirmed on May 12, 2023 that they had received a repayment of 6.6 million yuan from Zhai Xinxin. During the second civil trial, Zhai Xinxin has always proposed that she "wants to mediate with Su Xiangmao's family", expressing her willingness to compensate and compensate, and hoping to obtain a mediation letter, and in August last year, the court of second instance held an online trial to solicit the opinions of the plaintiff. Su Xiangmao's family refused to mediate in court. The relevant civil case will face the final decision of the court of second instance.

In May last year, the Haidian Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau informed Su Xiangmao's family in a "Notice of Case Filing" that the bureau believed that the "Zhai Xinxin extortion case" met the conditions for filing a case, and now the case is now filed for investigation. Zhai Xinxin was arrested and detained in a detention center.
