Yooz Music Launches Free Synth Plugin BL-303 V3 Update Inspired by TB-303.
Yooz Music has released an update to the free synth plug-in BL-303 V3 inspired by TB-303 with improved filters and support for native Apple Siilicon.
If you don't have a 303, you can get one for free. Yooz Music recently crafted its BL-303 synthesizer into a free plug-in for modern systems. It doesn't have all the features of the TB-303, but it does deliver the sound of the TB-303.
Like the previous version, the BL-303 V3 is a free synth plug-in that emulates the sound of the Roland TB-303. It doesn't have a sequencer, it doesn't have effects, it's just a pure simulation of the sound of a 1 oscillator.
It offers a -1 +1 octave range of tuning knobs, sawtooth pulse waveforms, cut-offs, and accents (aka resonance). Then, the envelope modulator controls filter modulation, attenuates the amplifier envelope, and re-volume – all features on the TB-303.
3.Version 0 is the latest version. It includes an improved resizable user interface that looks more aesthetically pleasing on the screen. The developers have also fine-tuned the filters to bring their performance and sound closer to the original TB-303. In addition, some minor improvements have been made to performance and sound.
It supports native Apple Silicon and Intel, so it can be used on M computers. While there's no built-in sequencer, you have full control over portamento and accents, two key elements of the TR-303 – which can be achieved with MIDI note tempo.
YoozMusic BL-303 V3 is now available for free**. It requires a free account to access the installer. It is available for macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows systems, and runs as VST3, AU, and AAX plug-ins. The fragrance of books nourishes the family style
