He said that nowadays, with the increasing improvement of people's living standards, traditional exhibitions and knowledge popularization can no longer meet people's diverse needs for museums.
Museums should give full play to the functions of collection, exhibition, science popularization and scientific research, among which scientific research is the foundation of the museum's life. Guo Jin said.
However, at present, the lack of scientific research ability of many grassroots museums has been a very common phenomenon, coupled with various financial constraints, important collections have not been effectively and systematically studied, and more grassroots museums are still in the state when they were established.
In Guo Jin's view, scientific research is a time-consuming and energy-consuming work, which not only tests carefulness, but also tempers perseverance, and the lack of scientific research ability is fundamentally due to the scarcity of scientific research talents.
However, due to factors such as infrastructure, scientific research equipment, treatment, and professional title restrictions, it has become a prominent difficulty for grassroots museums to effectively introduce and retain talents. Guo Jin said that in order to break this unfavorable situation, it is particularly important to increase the cultivation of talents in grassroots museums.
Guo Jin believes that to break the talent constraint, it is necessary to smooth the training channels and upward channels of professional talents, give talents enough time to deepen research, dig deep into the value of museums, and let scientific research achievements create a steady stream of development momentum for museums.
In this regard, he put forward two suggestions: First, it is recommended that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security break the traditional proportion of professional titles, increase the proportion of senior professional titles in grassroots museums, unblock the training channels and upward channels of professional talents, and truly retain talents and give full play to their functions.
Second, it is recommended that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism give a certain proportion of preference to grassroots museums in the declaration of various levels of **, projects and topics, and do a good job in ensuring the funds, space and time for the cultivation of talents in grassroots museums.
