As the saying goes: "The world is difficult." It must be done in the easy, and the big things in the world must be done in the details". The riding position is very detail-oriented.
The correct riding posture can make you exercise comfortably, save physical strength, and prevent physical injury.
When you start mountain biking, consciously practice contracting your lower abdomen, then erecting your pelvis, bending your back into an arched position, bending your elbows slightly on the head of the bike, and raising your ankles to pedal. Let's break down the action:
Step 1 Shrink the abdomen and erect the pelvis.
Remember to keep this position. The next step in the lower abdomen is to erect the pelvis, and after the pelvis is erected, the muscles that lift the legs can be activated.
Step 2: Bend over and arch your back.
Maintain a pelvic posture with your abdomen tucked in, bend your back forward, bend your back to form a spinal curvature, and lift your legs to pull on the psoas, condyles, and rectus femoris, which are the main muscle groups. Therefore, we must develop a cycling posture of tucking in the lower abdomen, standing up the pelvis, and bending over and arching the back, so as to conform to the body structure, better exert force, and achieve the effect of labor-saving.
Step 3 Bend your elbows slightly.
If your elbows are straight, your weight will fall on your arms and shoulders, and after a period of cycling, your shoulders and neck will be sore. After keeping the elbow slightly bent, the center of gravity can be placed on the axis of the pedal, which can be converted into driving force, and the pedaling force can be from top to bottom without losing power. At the same time, the slight bending of the elbow can absorb the vibration from the ground, reduce arm fatigue, and the handlebar is not easy to vibrate and get out of the hand.
Step 4 Raise your ankles.
It allows the leg joints to move more and has more room to exert muscle strength when the thighs are raised.
Practice according to these four details, and when the exercise time is reached, you will develop correct posture memory. Even if you ride for a long time, it will be easy and enjoy the ride.
