Known as an evergreen tree in the literary world, she is known as the "** Five Talented Women" with Ding Ling and others, but she has spent 24 years of marriage with her husband but has never shared a bed, what kind of story is hidden in this?

Su Xuelin was born in 1897 in a feudal bureaucratic family, and his grandfather was Su Yunqing, a native of Ruian County, Zhejiang. Because of her grandmother's feudal mentality, she missed the opportunity to receive an education from an early age.

When she was seven years old, she studied with her grandfather in the private school of the government office. She diligently memorized books such as the Three Character Classic and the Four Books of Women, even though she could not understand the meaning at that time.

Two years later, when the boys were all going to school, she could no longer attend a private school and was forced to drop out. But she did not give up studying, but taught herself and borrowed popular ** as a textbook.

Over time, she was also able to read books such as "Journey to the West" roughly. Later, her uncle and brother entered the Shanghai New School, and when they returned home, they would bring books and newspapers, and she also took the opportunity to read, laying a solid foundation for her own creative work and academic research.

In 1912, she was engaged to a family affair, and her fiancé Zhang Baoling was doing business in Shanghai and had a wealthy family. But because Zhang Baoling is studying in the United States, their marriage has not yet been confirmed.

In 1914, because of his father's work needs, the family moved to Anqing, and an uncle who had studied in Japan persuaded his father to be open-minded, so she was able to study in a local ** teaching primary school.

However, only half a year later, she suspended school for some reason and followed her mother back to the countryside. Just when she needed to study the most, Anqing Provincial Junior Girls' Normal School reported that it would resume enrollment.

In order to be able to go to school, Su Xuelin tried her best, and even committed suicide several times to force her family to agree to her going to school.

Su Xuelin studied in France, and the marriage with Zhang Baoling was delayed, which made the Su family feel anxious. The two exchanged letters many times, but found that their personalities were incompatible, and Su Xuelin once tried to break the marriage contract.

But he was strongly opposed by his parents and even reprimanded. Despite her modern education, she was bound by feudal ideas and could not decide on her own marriage. Overseas, many suitors threw olive branches to her, she hesitated in her heart, but in the end, in order to take care of her parents' face, she politely rejected everyone's pursuit.

In 1925, Su Xuelin and Zhang Baoling got married, and then each ran for their own careers. Although the two get together less and leave more, they always maintain a deep relationship.

A year later, Zhang Baoling taught at Soochow University and then returned to the Shanghai Shipyard. At the recommendation of a friend, Su Xuelin went to teach at Hujiang University. Subsequently, the couple returned to Soochow University together.

In 1938, Su Xuelin went to teach at Wuhan University, while Zhang Baoling chose to stay in Shanghai. Soon after, Zhang Baoling went to the southwest region and worked as a factory director and chief engineer at the Kunming Machinery Factory, responsible for the manufacture of automobile engines.

During this period, he became acquainted with many elite people as well as members of our party. His talent and status in the engineering world are not inferior to those of his wife, but there are great differences in their ideas and common topics.

In 1942, the couple, who had been separated for four years, were reunited. However, they still choose to live separately and do not.

Before the liberation, Su Xuelin was adrift in Hong Kong, and Zhang Baoling's homeland was difficult to leave. In 1961, Zhang Baoling passed away, although her friends persuaded her to remarry many times, she adhered to the belief of being widowed for her husband deep down and politely declined.

It wasn't until 1997 that she finished her life journey, and when she was about to die, she revealed the secret of being married to Zhang Baoling for 24 years but not having a round house.
