How the turntable splitter works

A turntable splitter, also known as a disc splitter or cam splitter, is a mechanical device used to convert continuous rotary motion into intermittent linear motion. It is mainly composed of the following parts: inlet shaft, cam, output shaft ** plate), rollers and dowel pins.

Here's how the turntable splitter works:

1.A drive device (e.g. a motor) on the input shaft rotates the input shaft.

2.A cylindrical cam fixed on the input axis rotates accordingly, and its outer surface has a specific contour curve.

3.The rollers fixed to the output shaft are lifted or lowered as the cam profile rotates.

4.When the roller is lifted to a certain position, due to the shape of the cam profile, the roller will be subjected to the force, which will push the output shaft (disc) to produce rotation.

5.When the roller is lowered, the output shaft (** disk) stops rotating, and the intermittent locking state is realized.

6.By controlling the rotation speed of the input force axis and the shape of the cam, the rotation angle of the output force axis can be accurately controlled to achieve accurate indexing.

7.The station or fixture on the output shaft can load the workpiece to realize periodic loading, machining, unloading and other operations.

The turntable splitter has the advantages of simple structure, high precision, long life and easy maintenance, and is widely used in automated production lines, assembly lines, testing equipment and other fields.

The above is the working principle of the turntable splitter, for more information about the cam splitter, please stay tuned
