Judging from the evolution of New Year's speeches in colleges and universities, it was a bit interesting in the early years, but in recent years, it has completely changed its flavor and become difficult to swallow, and even changed from a New Year's message to a New Year's message.
Just as the circle of friends is no longer the original circle of friends, there is no longer the feeling it used to be.

However, compared with the New Year's messages of major universities, Southern Weekly's New Year's messages are already considered to be excellent, at least not so boring to read, although they are all chicken soup for the soul, but at least there is still some material.
Since my circle of friends is basically from different colleges and universities across the country, everyone spares no effort to share the New Year's greetings pushed by their respective schools' official WeChat.
Looking through more than a dozen New Year's greetings from colleges and universities, I feel that most of them are the same, nothing more than a shortened version of the "year-end summary", and it is a year-end summary that only talks about achievements and does not talk about problems.
Some write the year-end summary in a simple and unpretentious manner, while others can't wait to reach a 20-story building, just to show the results of this year.
I am sure that most of the people who share the official Weibo New Year's message are in the way of sharing, because the people around you are sharing, and if you don't share it, you feel embarrassed.
Most of the people who shared it didn't actually read these New Year's messages carefully, because everyone could roughly know what they were without reading them.
In a sense, the New Year's greetings and New Year's messages of colleges and universities have completely changed their taste.
Although the drafters wanted to write the New Year's message lofty, it was difficult to write it without specific work, and it was inevitable that it would fall into the cliché of the year-end summary, which eventually made this New Year's message taste like chewing wax.
In the end, the so-called New Year's greetings are neither chicken soup for the soul nor a year-end summary, but have become four dislikes.
In my opinion, colleges and universities themselves are a pure land, so why bother with these vain things?How much does it make sense to send a so-called New Year's message?
With this kind of effort, it is better to do more practical things in a down-to-earth manner, pay more attention to teaching and scientific research, pay more attention to teachers and students, improve the quality of running schools, and increase the sense of gain of teachers and students.
In fact, the reason for this bad New Year's greeting style is related to the bad atmosphere orientation, especially with some people who sit in the office and pat their heads.
They don't go down to the grassroots level, they don't do practical things, they only think about creating new terms and new formulations all day long, and they say that what they have not done has been done, and what they have done is said to have been done well.
They are happy to pursue the principle of "not learning enough, making up words", and like to create new terms, new concepts, and new formulations, without considering the problem of whether the sentences make sense or not, and whether the logic is smooth or not.
If this kind of atmosphere continues for a long time, it will not only affect the development of colleges and universities, but also affect the improvement of the quality of higher education as a whole.
