Officials should be people oriented, upright first, and discipline oriented

Throughout the ages, there have been those who have been officials for thousands of years, and there have been those who have been stinking for thousands of years. Since we are officials, we must be officials who are satisfied with the people, and we must be officials who "serve as officials for one term and benefit one party," and we should serve the people, be pragmatic, and be honest, and be worthy of the power and responsibility of our opponents and the expectations and trust of the people.

To be an official, you must be fair. As the old saying goes, "Husbands and officials should give priority to justice, and the public should not be confused by selfishness, and the righteous should not be flattered by evil." The so-called "justice", as the name suggests, is one is public, and the other is right. "Justice" means justice, to "endure selfishness and do righteousness", remove the selfish distractions in the heart, devote oneself to the people, and act impartially;"Righteousness" means decency, and the essence of being an official lies in "righteousness". We must be upright in body, mind, and action, worthy of ourselves, and worthy of our hearts. As far as a leading cadre is concerned, impartiality should be the principle of being an official first. Being "upright" is the foundation of being an official, and compared with being a man, being a fair official has higher requirements. Because being a person is only responsible for oneself, being an official is responsible for a group and a department. In the final analysis, whether it is right or wrong is actually a question of political direction. If a person who is an official can be upright and frank, he will be people-oriented and regard the people's will as the rootIt will maintain the normal state of mind of "the heart is in the country and the masses", and maintain the indifferent feelings of "benefiting the world and belonging to the people". With regard to the masses, we should observe their sufferings, listen to their calls, think about their thoughts, be anxious about their expectations, and meet their needs, and truly put the interests of the masses in the first place.

Be kind to officials. "Those who are happy with the people, the people are also happy; Those who are worried about the people, the people are also worried. "Kindness is not a gesture, but a heartfelt love for the people. At present, the relationship between some cadres and the masses is not a "fish-water relationship" but a "frog-water relationship." When the masses are needed, they jump into the water like frogsWhen the masses are not needed, they jump ashore and put on the official shelf. However, the eyes of the masses are clear, what kind of actions can move the masses, what kind of behaviors are disgusting, what is sincere for the people, what is put on a show, the common people have a scale in their hearts. Everything is heart-for-heart, affection-for-love. If you always have the joys and sorrows of the people in your heart, and always keep the people's food, clothing, and well-being in mind, you will naturally win the support of the masses. The people are our food and clothing, and serving the masses is the fundamental basis for the existence of our party. As party members and cadres, we should and must be full of sincere love for the masses just like we do for our parents.

Be disciplined. At present, the society we are in is in a period of change, all kinds of ** everywhere, in this environment, as a leading cadre, if you want to "not lose your heart for fame and fortune, not for the desire for power", you must have the ability to eliminate all interference, there is a realm that is not moved by external objects, at the level of law and discipline, it is necessary to be good at abiding by discipline. To be a "disciplined" cadre, we must properly handle three kinds of relationships: First, the relationship between work and life. Nowadays, some people care more about their personal lives than their work, some pursue material comforts more than their own work, and are keen to eat, drink and be merry. These are all danger signs, and the process of corruption and degeneration of many leading cadres begins with greed for pleasure and the expansion of selfish desires. Therefore, as leading cadres, we must correctly distinguish the boundaries between work and life, and we must not confuse each other. The second is the relationship between feelings and principles. The Chinese nation has always attached great importance to love and righteousness, and has a profound moral heritage. Leading cadres also have the common feelings of others, but they must distinguish between right and wrong, and they must not only talk about family affection and friendship while forgetting principles and law and discipline. Principles are the most fundamental bottom line of being a person and doing things, and no one and anything can be above principles. The third is the relationship between power and responsibility. The greater the power and the higher the position, the heavier the responsibility and the more obligations should be fulfilled. If power is used as a tool for personal gain, it will deviate from the responsibility of power, damage the dignity of power, and eventually be condemned by the people, and even ruined. In the face of the complex social environment and all kinds of problems, only when leading cadres always think about the party's purpose and the needs of the people, always be responsible to the party and the people, and always have a sense of crisis as if they are on the edge of the abyss and walking on thin ice, can they correctly handle the relationship between power and responsibility and truly grasp themselves.

Be innovative. Innovation is the soul of a nation's progress, an inexhaustible driving force for a country's prosperity, and a source of eternal vitality for a political party. Innovation is the practice of integrating responsibility, courage, methods, attitudes and other elements in one furnace, and it is the key to whether all work can make progress. Lack of innovation in doing things, at most you can only do one thing right, but not one thing well. If a leading cadre lacks a sense of innovation, the work of his department or the development of his region will stagnate. Every party member and cadre must have a sense of innovation and courage and dare to be the first. However, innovation is not the same as brute force, and it is not the same as blindly pursuing novelty without considering the effect. On this issue, we must achieve a high degree of integration between innovation and pragmatism. Innovation must be combined with the actual local situation, formulate corresponding policies, take corresponding measures, and adapt measures to local conditions. Otherwise, good intentions are likely to do bad things.

All in all, the relationship between being a person, doing things and being an official is interrelated and mutually effective. Being a man is fundamental, people are doing right, it is easy to do things, and there will be no problems when being an official. Doing things is the foundation, because being a person and an official is inseparable from entrepreneurship. To be an official is to perform one's duties and fulfill one's responsibilities in one's position, and in the final analysis, being an official is also to do things. We must correctly handle the relationship between these three, truly do good things, do good deeds, and do good officials, always maintain the advanced nature of Communist Party members, and promote the continuous development of the cause of the party and the people.
