According to reports, up to now, the city's public security has investigated and handled 48 cases of cross-border gambling and related crimes, and seized and frozen 1900 million yuan, 168 criminal suspects were arrested, 138 criminal suspects were transferred for prosecution, and 67 people were sentenced to criminal punishment in the first instance.

Liu Dayong, political commissar of the city's public security bureau, introduced that since the beginning of this year, the city's public security has strictly followed the relevant requirements, focused on the special action to crack down on cross-border gambling and tackled major cases, and aimed at cutting off the ecological chain of cross-border gambling crimes.

Strengthen information guidance and promote the landing of clues. Internally, relying on the data of the sub-bureau to empower the combat training base, strengthen the comprehensive research and judgment of intelligence clues, and broaden the collection channels for cross-border gambling and related criminal clues related to gangsters, fraud, money laundering and other crimesExternally, give full play to the positive role of mass prevention and treatment, and widely mobilize the masses to report and provide clues related to gambling. Since the beginning of this year, a total of more than 100 clues have been collected, and more than 30 cases have been investigated.

Strengthen comprehensive management and cut off the chain of crime. Highlight the move of the gate forward, prevention first, take the initiative to work with the member units of the 122 mechanism, closely follow the four elements of personnel, channels, funds, and technology, and comprehensively strengthen the "fence" of prevention and control and interception of cross-border gambling crimes. Up to now, a total of 47 proposals for comprehensive gambling-related management have been sent to relevant functional units, 570 people are legally prohibited from leaving the country and key personnel are under control, 2,369 gambling-related financial accounts have been frozen, 712 gambling-related applications have been blocked, and more than 50 gambling-related illegal information have been cleaned up, effectively cutting off the chain of violations and crimes.
