Cen Shen (c. 715-770) was a native of Jiangling, Jingzhou (now Jiangling, Hubei). A poet of the Tang Dynasty, he was good at seven words and songs. The style is similar to Gao Shi, and many descendants are called "Gao Cen". Today, I read Cen Shen's "Luntai Song to Send Doctor Feng to the West".

Luntai City blows the horn at night, and the north of Luntai City falls.

Yushu passed through Quli last night, and Shan Yu was already in Jinshanxi.

The garrison looks at the smoke and dust in the west, and the Han soldiers are in the wheel of Taipei.

The general supported the west to march, and the Pingming flute marched.

The drums and snow surged on all sides, and the three armies shouted that the mountains were moving.

The captives are full of soldiers, and the battlefield is wrapped in white bones.

The sword river is stormy and the clouds are wide, and the sand mouth stone freezes and the horses' hooves are off.

King Axiangqin worked hard and vowed to repay the lord to quiet the border.

Who has not seen the history of ancient times, and now sees the fame and fame of the ancients.

Cen Shen. "Luntai Song Sends Doctor Feng to the West".

Mr. Luo Tao read it like this in "Shifting Flowers to the Mirror - Twenty-four Poems, Calligraphy and Painting Printing and General Interpretation".

The difference between the literature and art of the Tang Dynasty and the early Tang Dynasty is that at this time, the scribes of Guanlong and Shandong (the concept of Shandong at this time includes Hebei, Henan, Shandong, and Shanxi) were no longer shrouded by the literary and artistic interests of Taizong of the Tang DynastyThey swept away Qi Qi Qi with the style of the Han and Wei dynasties, and swept away the wind of the south of the Yangtze River with the spirit of Heshuo and Youyan. Side's poems are the most representative of them. The poems of Cen Shen have a heroic spirit in Jinjian. In the thirteenth year of Tianbao, Cen Shen as a subordinate official of the Anxi Festival envoy Feng Changqing, came to the northwest Luntai garrison, and this poem was written to send Feng Changqing to the west.

The first six lines of this poem describe the atmosphere on the eve of the battle, the horn of Luntai City is loud, and the star of the north of Luntai City is shaken down, symbolizing the defeat of the Hu soldiers and the victory of the Han soldiers. Shan Yu has already passed the Jinshan (Altai Mountains), and the military book has also been sent to Quli, the Han soldiers have all been in place, and the beacon smoke has been ignited. These few sentences exaggerate the tense eve of the war.

The following eight sentences exaggerate the fierceness of the war, the drums are beating everywhere, the three armies are shouting, and the snow is swaying and the mountains are shaking. The Hu soldiers also had the potential to connect the clouds, with countless casualties on both sides, and the harsh environment of the northwest battlefield showed the difficulty of the war and the difficulty of victory.

The whole poem adopts two rhythms in terms of sound and rhyme: most of the first half is two sentences and one rhyme, and the flat rhyme and rhyme with each other, forming a tone of ups and downs, turbulent tone, and energetic inward turn. Until the last four sentences, even with a flat rhyme, a rhyme to the end, praising the merits of the imperial historian (commonly known as Yaxiang) Feng Changqing, it has become bright and orderly.

On the whole, the poems of Cen Shen, Gao Shi and others are full of the atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty, vigorous and brave, magnificent and vigorous, which is very different from the war-weariness after the "Anshi Rebellion". This is the difference between the Gaocen poetry school and the Han Meng poetry school.
