On the morning of December 29, sponsored by the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, undertaken by Nanshan Museum, and supported by China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, the "Wanli Years - Wanli Cultural Relics Theme Special Exhibition" opened at Shenzhen Nanshan Museum.

This exhibition selects 123 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics from 5 cultural and museum units, including the crown and clothing of the Wanli Emperor, funeral utensils, court utensils, celadon calligraphy and paintings, etc., and there are 19 national first-class cultural relics alone. Through the three chapters of "Sustainability with Rites", "Fortune in Things" and "Diplomatic Integration between China and China", the exhibition is supported by the excavation of the Ming Ding Mausoleum, underwater archaeological discoveries and handed down cultural relics.

Wanli is the year name of Zhu Yijun of Mingshenzong. Zhu Yijun was the thirteenth emperor of the Ming Dynasty and is usually referred to as the Wanli Emperor by his chronology. Dingling is the joint burial tomb of Emperor Wanli and Empress Xiaoduan and Empress Xiaojing, and it is the first and only imperial tomb of the Ming Dynasty that has been excavated in China. In the sixth year of Longqing (1572), Zhu Yijun ascended the throne and died in the forty-eighth year of Wanli (1620), reigning for a total of 48 years, making him the longest reigning emperor of the Ming Dynasty. It is reported that the exhibition will continue to be on display until March 31, 2024.
