Sago is a very popular dessert.
Here's a simple way to do it:
Material:
1 2 cups of sago.
Water to taste. 1 can of coconut milk.
Sugar to taste. Fruits (e.g. mangoes, strawberries, etc.) to taste (optional).
Steps:
1. Wash the sago, put it in a bowl, add an appropriate amount of water and soak for 30 minutes to make the sago soften and swell.
2. Drain the soaked sago.
3. Put the sago in a pot and add the appropriate amount of water, the amount of water should be slightly more, about twice as much as the sago.
4. Put the pot on the fire, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and cook the sago slowly, stirring constantly during the period to avoid sticking to the bottom of the pot.
5. When the sago becomes transparent, turn off the heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes to make the sago fuller.
6. Pour the cooked sago into a container and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
7. Take out the refrigerated sago, add coconut milk and an appropriate amount of sugar, adjust the sweetness according to personal taste, and stir well.
8. If you like, you can add cut fruit pieces, such as mangoes, strawberries, etc., to add texture and color.
9. When the sago is finished, you can put it in a bowl and eat it cold or with ice cubes.
This is a basic sago recipe where you can add other ingredients such as coconut, red beans, etc., according to your personal taste and preferences, to enrich the taste. At the same time, you can also adjust the sweetness and consistency to your liking.
