In 1955, our army conferred the title for the first time, and stipulated the administrative level of public servants, the marshal belonged to the administrative **, the general was the fourth administrative level, and so on. In addition, there are some people who have not been awarded titles because they have left the army, but they have been designated as administrative **, at the same level as the marshal, such as Zheng Weisan.
Zheng Weisan is a native of Hong'an, Hubei, formerly known as Zheng Zhihuai, he has been diligent and studious since he was a child, and at the age of 16, he was admitted to Hubei A Industrial School with excellent results in third place, so he changed his name to Zheng Weisan. In 1922, Zheng Weisan returned to his hometown after graduation and devoted himself to anti-imperialist and anti-feudal revolutionary activities. In October 1932, the Kuomintang army launched a large-scale "encirclement and suppression" against the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet region. Zheng Weisan actively restored and established local armed forces, and in a short period of time, six independent guerrilla units totaling more than 5,000 people were formed. In July 1935, the Red 25th Army cooperated with the main force of the Red Army to go north, west out of Gansu, north to Shaanxi, Zheng Weisan was once again ordered to serve as secretary of the Hubei-Henan-Shaanxi Special Committee.
In the face of the sweep of more than 20 regiments of the enemy, Zheng Weisan did not panic at all, he calmly analyzed the current situation, and finally adopted the guerrilla tactic of "going around in a big circle" and smashed the enemy's attack three times. Later, Mr. He commented on Zheng Weisan: "The Red 74th Division was able to persist in guerrilla warfare in southern Shaanxi for nearly two years, and the correct leadership of Comrade Weisan played an important role. But it's a pity that the long-term overload of work has also dragged down Zheng Weisan's body, especially after the Central Plains breakthrough, Zheng Weisan's physical condition no longer allows him to continue to work on the front line. In 1948, under the arrangement of the organization, Zheng Weisan left the army and recuperated in the hospital for a long time. In 1955, when the rank of civil servants was assessed, because Zheng Weisan did not hold a specific position, everyone did not know what level should be given to him, so they reflected the situation to the chairman, and finally the chairman said: "Comrade Weisan has worked hard and made great achievements, and should be designated as an administrative ** and enjoy the treatment of vice premier." ”
However, although Zheng Weisan's level is very high, their family's life is very difficult, his daughter once recalled: "My father's monthly salary of 400 yuan was all donated to the Hong'an old area, and the whole family of seven people, plus relatives and comrades-in-arms in need of relief, and the children of martyrs, a total of more than a dozen people, all supported by the salary of their mother, and their lives were very difficult." Moreover, the children of the Zheng family didn't know what their father did when they were young, and their father never talked about his glorious experiences at home. When Zheng Weisan married his wife Pu Yun, he also made a "covenant with his wife" in three chapters, saying: "From now on, we will be a family, and as a husband, I should care about you and love you, but as a party cadre, I want to put forward three requirements to you, and you must abide by them." First: If you have a share of what the government gives me, you will want it, and you must not reach out to the organization without youSecond: If a leader, colleague or subordinate comes to me to talk about work, you should not be present, let alone interfere with my work;Thirdly: do not ask the state for more in my name. In the decades that Zheng Weisan and his wife Pu Yun have worked together, the husband and wife have always adhered to these three principles.
