Damascus, December 18 (Reporter Xue Dan, correspondents Wu Peichen, Qu Fatong, Huang Yuanli) Recently, 205 officers and soldiers of the second echelon of the 22nd batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon arrived safely and smoothly in the mission area after more than 10 hours by combining air transportation and ground mobility. So far, the 22nd batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon has been fully deployed and officially fulfilled its one-year peacekeeping mission.
The 22nd batch of Chinese peacekeeping forces in Lebanon has a total of 410 personnel in three detachments, including 180 multi-functional engineering detachments, 200 construction engineering detachments and 30 medical detachments.
After arriving in the mission area, the peacekeeping force to Lebanon carried out the rotation and handover work, they actively connected with UN personnel and local **, and held a command transfer ceremony for the 21st batch of Chinese peacekeeping troops to Lebanon.
In view of the situation in the mission area, the peacekeeping force has further unified the thinking of officers and soldiers through the form of a military conference, put forward specific requirements for familiarizing themselves with the situation, entering the role, and grasping practical training, and organized security and defense training and air raid drills, so as to make a good start for the implementation of peacekeeping tasks.
Over the past few days, the peacekeepers stationed in Lebanon have quickly moved into combat positions and faithfully fulfilled their mission. The multi-functional engineer detachment carried out pre-job training around the mine-clearance qualification certification, invited consultants from the United Nations Mine Action Center to give special lectures, and gave guidance at professional training grounds, further standardizing the mine-clearing and explosive-disposal operation procedures, and making full preparations for the next step of the mine-clearance qualification certification.
