Recently, the 2023 "Food and Light with You, Walking with Love" welcome party organized by the Youth League Committee of the College of Food and undertaken by the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union was staged in the audience hall of Wenhao Hall. Dai Hui, Deputy Director of the Party Committee Office of the School, Wang Yin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of International Education, Fu Lili, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Food, Fan Daming, Dean, Li Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean, Xie Yunfei and Cheng Li, Vice Deans, all counselors, freshman class teachers, party and government management cadres and more than 1,000 food students attended the event to share this audio-visual feast.
The evening kicked off with the energetic performance "Clear Sky Story". The "10,000 Sorrows" of the Suntail Cat Band and the creative program of the Resonance Animation Club let every audience enjoy the charm and successfully ignited the atmosphere of the scene.
The first chapter, "Encounter", unfolds slowly in the passionate dance "As Promised". The songs brought by the "food generation masters" skewered "Stars, Mountains and Seas" and knocked the audience's heartstrings with affectionate interpretation. The sketch "Goodbye Lao Zhang" of the nutrition 2301 class attracted everyone's tears with sincere emotions. Fu Lili and Fan Daming sang "Wuxi" sung by the two college leaders, conveying to the students the water town style, the warmth and the spirit of the school motto of "learning and doing, stopping at perfection" among the Jiangnan landscape paintings.
The second chapter is titled "Chasing the Light". The song "The First Love" and the dance skewer "Walking in the Light" by the ATF Art Troupe fully demonstrated the vigorous vitality and youthful demeanor of food students. Sheng Lina, the head teacher of international students, and foreign students brought a bilingual version of "The Lonely Brave", reflecting the high-spirited spirit. Zhaole Crosstalk Society's "Jiangnan Love Story" interprets the charm of traditional art with well-designed baggage. The class of 2023 undergraduate class teachers Xie Yunfei, Hong Yan, Hu Jinhua and all the deputy class teachers sang "Walking in Style", leading everyone to revisit the classics and winning applause.
The third chapter, "Voyage", opens with the dialect song "One Word, One World". Tashi, Asbul and other students' dance "Colorful Folk Rhyme" presents a diverse and integrated national culture. The Faculty of Humanities' drama "Another Day of Sun" attracts the audience into a dreamy world with a moving melody. Li Lei and master's student Liu Yuqi sang a song "Blessing", and all the counselors and teachers of the Party and Government Management Office presented a song and dance "Love", which pushed the atmosphere of the audience to the peak.
The party finally ended successfully with the melody of the chorus "I Love You China" led by the 2022 undergraduates, "I love you China, beloved mother, I shed tears for you and am proud of you." In the laughter, the majority of teachers and students gathered together to set sail towards the new dream of 2024. In the grand symphony, food students vow to use the light of youth to compose a chapter of love.
