Poster News Chief Reporter Zhang Wen reports.
Approaching the Spring Festival, going home for the New Year has become the most important event of the year. Whether it is nostalgia or faith, going home for the New Year is always a unique persistence in the bones of Chinese.
Since I left my hometown to study at the age of 18, this year is the 12th year that I have studied and worked in a foreign country.
My parents are here, not far away, so every year before the Spring Festival, I always return to my heart like an arrow, although the wind and dust, thousands of miles home, but this is one of the few times a year to be able to accompany my parents.
Every year before I go home, I pay special attention to the news related to the "Spring Festival", for fear that something will happen on the way home. This year is especially true because we planned a series of reports on the "2024 Spring Festival Travel Changes and Changes" series a year ago, and during the interview, I learned that this year's 40-day Spring Festival travel is expected to have 9 billion people moving across the country. At the same time, the most snowy and freezing rain weather since 2009 has also made many people's return journey tortuous.
During the interview, my colleagues and I got to know the wanderers who were stranded at the train station and airport for a long time due to the delay of the train and high-speed rail service, the delay of the plane, and even the returnees who were stuck in the highway and only walked dozens of kilometers a day.
and Wang Zhengnian, who once took his pregnant wife and rode a motorcycle back to his hometown for five days and four nights for the New Year. "It's hard, but I'm happy because I know I'm going to be home. He told me about his experience and the hardships of these years, but this did not dampen his strong and optimistic heart. In fact, how can each of us not be Wang Zhengnian in our own lives?
In 2011, Wang Zhengnian took his pregnant wife home on a motorcycle for the Chinese New Year.
However, life is always getting better slowly, and the motorcycle that Wang Zhengnian rode back then has been idle in his hometown for many years. Over the years, the asphalt road has been repaired to his doorstep, and the high-speed rail has also reached his hometown, and it only takes six hours to take the high-speed rail from Guangdong back to his hometown.
The gradual disappearance of the army of motorcycles returning to their hometowns during the Spring Festival represented by Wang Zhengnian is behind the continuous improvement and development of China's road network, high-speed rail and other infrastructure in recent years, and the continuous improvement of people's living standards.
As a wanderer who has experienced more than ten Spring Festival travels, I am also deeply touched by these changes.
I remember that when I first started college, I would take the green car home every year, and the longest time I was standing on the train for 12 hours before I got home. In recent years, I chose to take the high-speed train from Jinan to Shangqiu, Henan via Xuzhou, Jiangsu, and then take a bus back to my hometown Cao County. Although the high-speed train only takes three hours, it takes five hours to get home.
New Year's goods prepared in advance.
In fact, the most difficult thing to go home is to buy a train ticket to go home, especially during the Spring Festival, most of the time the tickets are sold out in seconds, and you often have to set several alarm clocks, and you may not be able to grab the ticket for several days in a row. Therefore, sometimes it is not entirely up to you to decide when you want to go home.
I bought the ticket, and the way home was not easy. Since you have to catch the train and sometimes have to take a car, you can't take much luggage. It's often just a suitcase, a backpack, and at most one or two packs of New Year's goods, it's already the limit. Therefore, although I have been working for many years, over the years, I have brought very few New Year's goods home for the Chinese New Year.
This year, the situation has changed a little, because I bought a car a few years ago, and I am driving home for the first time for the Chinese New Year, and I can be considered to have experienced the convenience brought by a car.
Almost half a month before the Spring Festival, I started to buy New Year's goods, buying my father's favorite liquor and tea, my mother's favorite food, and many New Year's items, which filled the trunk and the back seat of the car. In previous years, this was something that could not have been imagined. At the same time, driving home can also allow me to bring my pet cat back to my hometown for the New Year, if I take the high-speed rail, it is almost impossible, and I have to find a place for it to go in Jinan for the New Year.
Take home a pet cat for the New Year.
Starting from Jinan at three o'clock in the afternoon, more than 300 kilometers away, except for a section of high-speed road construction blocked for more than half an hour, almost all the way unblocked. At seven o'clock in the evening, after four hours, I returned to my home in Cao County from Jinan, and the dinner prepared by my mother had just been prepared.
People often say that the fireworks in the trunk are unique to the romance of the Chinese, and can ** every wandering and lonely heart. But no matter how big the trunk is, it can't hold the eternal concern of relatives. I think when I get back, my trunk will definitely be stuffed with my parents.
