Under the encouragement of Chen Yanping, the R&D team began to "darken Chen Cang". The IGBT component (6500V) used this time is a new type of high-voltage power device, and its foreign application is also in its infancy, and no reference materials can be found. Chen Yanping led the team to do one year of intermittent testing at the test station, optimizing the circuit board 7 times before and after, and the normal cycle can only complete one optimization in one year.
In the first 6 times, the problem of converter false alarm failure has not been solved, and repeated optimization can not find the problem, at that time we borrowed the drive line technology of a foreign company, I wonder if their technology is a problem. "In the eyes of many people, the country's products and technologies are good, that is, the right situation, Chen Yanping questioned foreign technology as a scientific research worker, which was under great pressure at that time.
But she withstood the pressure and led the team to design a self-developed drive circuit technology, and sure enough, the last optimization successfully eliminated the problem of false alarm fault of the converter.
This technical breakthrough laid the foundation for the later development of the "heart" of Fuxing - traction converter and the electrical system of South Africa's dual-flow freight electric locomotive, both of which adopted six-axle 9600 kW traction converter technology.

There was no high-voltage power supply required for the test, so Chen Yanping used transformers, diodes, resistance switches, etc. to create conditions for himself, from 500V to 1500V; Unable to verify the reliability of the device, Chen Yanping designed an intelligent driver board aging box; The debugging of the pulse distribution board is not humane enough, so Chen Yanping designed the debugging box, which turned the complex process that had to be operated by professional and technical personnel into a "fool" step that can be easily executed with a few buttons.

On June 12, 2009, the six-axle 7200kw electric locomotive loaded with the high-power traction converter independently developed by the company was successfully rolled off the assembly line in Zhuzhou. Since the research tests of traction converters are carried out under high pressure, and the reliability tests are to simulate the worst working conditions in the field, it can be triggered at any time. Along the way, Chen Yanping has personally experienced or witnessed IGBT devices, cables, low-inductance busbars, resistors, multimeters, oscilloscope probes, etc. countless times, and also knows that the slightest carelessness will cause life danger.
In addition to being bold and careful, Chen Yanping also knows how to use wisdom to deal with danger. In order to deal with the risk of the traction converter research test, she overcame her fear and cleverly launched the trigger delay design, after the test was started, she had 3 seconds to hide behind the cabinet, wait until the power was released and then come out to observe;
After years of high-intensity work, she suffered from a series of conditions such as tinnitus, chest pain, and cervical spondylitis, and she quickly adjusted and squeezed out time to go to the sports field.
