World bread champion, Gong Xin

Gong Xin, born in Xiangtan, Hunan Province in 1995, is a young Chinese baker who has made a name for himself in the international baking industry with his exquisite baking skills and unique creativity. He once won the championship on behalf of the Chinese team in the 9th World Bakery Competition World Finals, becoming the first Chinese baker to win the championship of the competition, an achievement that has attracted wide attention in the Chinese baking industry.

Personal Experience:

In 1995, Gong Xin was born in Xiangtan, Hunan.

After graduating from technical secondary school, he went to Shenzhen to work, initially working in the factory assembly line.

On the recommendation of his parents, he began to learn pastry making and worked in a bakery in Shenzhen.

In order to learn more about baking theory, he quit his job and went to a baking school in Suzhou for further study, and stayed in the school to teach.

In 2016, he participated in the 44th National Skills Competition, won the second place in the country, and entered the Chinese national team as an alternate player.

In 2017, he participated in the World Bread Competition as an assistant and won the sixth place, setting a new record for the best result in the history of the Chinese team.

In 2020, he won the overall championship of the Global Baking World Cup.

In October 2023, in the global finals of the 9th World Bread Competition, he won the championship on behalf of the Chinese team and won the Best Art Bread Award.
