At the beginning of the revolution, Zhang Aiping of Daxian County, Sichuan Province, was a great man who was loyal to the country. Born in 1910, at the age of 15, he embarked on the revolutionary journey, and at the age of 18, he devoted himself to the Communist Party of China without hesitation.
At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, General Zhang Aiping was entrusted with heavy responsibilities and successively served as commander of the Seventh Corps and the Zhejiang Military Region, chief of staff of the Third Field Army, and deputy chief of general staff of the People's Liberation Army. What particularly eye-catching is the campaign to capture Yijiangshan Island presided over by the general, whose strategy was novel, the concerted efforts of the troops, and the concerted efforts of the army, navy, and air force.
In September 1955, when the world was boiling, General Zhang Aiping was honored as a general for his outstanding military exploits, which can be called the founding of New China, and he was promoted to one of the first people in history to be awarded the rank of general.
However, the military exploits of the general, who is highly admired by the world, are also his "four fearless" ambitions, which are said to be not afraid of the mandate of heaven, not afraid of adults, not afraid of the words of saints, and not afraid of power, which is not only the character trait of the general, but also praised by later generations.
For example, at the "Lushan Conference" in 1959, despite the changes in the wind and clouds and the ebb and flow of the tide, the general always remained upright, did not follow the tide, kept the festival with condensation, and adhered to his faith.
After the meeting, everyone avoided it, but the general was not afraid, and walked side by side with Mr. Peng and returned to Beijing.
In the red years, the general and Mr. Peng worked together to share weal and woe, not only the relationship between superiors and subordinates, but also the extreme of comrade-in-arms and friendship. After decades of companionship, the general knows that Mr. Peng is a person, although he is upright, he is upright, he adheres to the right path, and is by no means like the gangsters at the Lushan Conference.
Therefore, some people advised him to stay away from right and wrong, but the general was unmoved, insisting that Mr. Peng was also comrade!
Hearing this good story, the ** marshal praised: "The general has the wind of Zhang Yide!" It can be seen that the general's justice is unyielding and resolute.
However, the general's upright ambition is more than that.
Throughout the early 60s of the last century, Lin Shuaiquan leaned towards the government and the opposition, and his words and deeds were as good as those in Japan, and his initiative of "learning Mao's works should produce immediate results" was popular all over the world for a while, and few people dared to say "no". However, General Zhang Aiping resolutely stepped forward without fear.
The general has ridiculed this move on many occasions: "The shadow can only be seen on a sunny day, but how can a shadow be seen on a rainy day?" It may be possible to put this word in the Longmen Array, but it is not appropriate to enter it into the literature, and it is not appropriate to ...... it”
However, the general's unruliness naturally attracted the attention of the "rebels," and he was unbelievably labeled as a "Kuomintang spy" and suffered from criticism every day, but the general was unmoved.
At a criticism meeting, the "rebels" waved iron chains and tried to attack the general, but the general's eyes were like torches, his hands were holding the bench, and he resolutely fought back. This move caught the "rebels" off guard, but unexpectedly, the sixty-year-old generals were still brave and unusually brave, and they retreated one after another.
Although the general is not afraid of power and maneuvers with evil forces, he is weak and cannot escape the judgment of history. In the end, he was falsely accused of being a "spy" and was imprisoned.
Even when he was in prison, the general adhered to the bottom line, was indomitable, did not blame himself, and did not tell the truth, guarding the noble integrity of the communists, and would rather die than give in.
In March 1975, General Zhang Aiping, who had suffered six years in prison, was given the opportunity to return to work and was appointed director of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission.
However, as far as the situation at that time is concerned, General Zhang Aiping's comeback was obviously a move to withstand pressure and follow orders.
At that moment, the tragic failure of China's first returnable satellite shook the whole country like a thunderbolt.
Since 1955, General Zhang Aiping has devoted himself to national defense science and technology, and has served as deputy director and deputy director of the office, presided over the "two bombs and one satellite" plan, and led important national military projects.
With a sense of awe for the cause of national defense science and technology, the general is looking forward to returning to the battlefield at an early date.
Despite the many difficulties, General Ran, with resoluteness and fortitude, formulated and implemented a series of plans for the development of cutting-edge equipment, and at the end of November 1975, smoothly organized the launch of China's first returnable satellite, "Jianbing-1."
However, in an instant, the general suffered another heavy blow.
On January 18, 1976, at the Xiannongtan Stadium Criticism Meeting, the general was rebuked by the masses and demanded a "review." The general was only concise and to the point: "Since I resumed my work in March last year, I have been in contact with some cadres and the masses in some units, made some speeches, and made some decisions. If I make a mistake on the route, I will be solely responsible. There is nothing to do with other comrades. With that, the general pulled away, and everyone was stunned.
After being imprisoned for many years and his left leg disabled, the general could no longer be as heroic as before, and could only walk away slowly with crutches. But in the hearts of the people, the general is still a majestic and upright image!
In May 1980, the general commanded the launch of China's first intercontinental missile, and successively served as vice premier, deputy secretary general of the Central Military Commission, state councilor, and minister of national defense.
Since November 1987, the general has been relegated to the second line, but he still serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Advisory Committee, offering suggestions and suggestions for the building of the country and the army.
On July 5, 2003, the General passed away, ending his illustrious and legendary life at the age of 93.
