People's Daily Online, London, February 19 (Yu Ying) On February 17, the first event of the 8th Taihe Civilization Forum - "London School of Economics and Political Science China Development Forum and Taihe Civilization Forum Economic Sub-forum" was held at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Experts from China and the UK conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the economic development of the world and China in the post-epidemic era, as well as how to enhance economic resilience and find new drivers of economic development.

Sun Yongfu, a senior researcher at Taihe Think Tank, pointed out in his speech that China's economy will achieve 5The 2% growth reflects the resilience and momentum behind China's economy to maintain medium-high growth for more than 40 years.

Aina Tangen, a senior researcher at Taihe Think Tank, pointed out that in the process of human society entering the digital age, thanks to the improvement of productivity and cost-effective digital payment systems, the center of gravity of the global economy may further shift eastward.

With his rich experience in performing his duties at the United Nations and his in-depth observation of China-US relations, Liu Yangsheng, a senior researcher at Taihe Think Tank, refuted the "theory of China's economic collapse". Liu Yangsheng pointed out that China's economy has shown strong resilience and that the Belt and Road Initiative has played an important role in promoting South-South cooperation.

Ding Yifan, a senior researcher at Taihe Think Tank, pointed out that China's high-tech industry is developing rapidly, and he emphasized the key role of demand-side policies in expanding the size of middle-income groups and coping with the risk of decoupling and the challenge of global chain fragmentation.
