Snacks refer to all foods and drinks eaten outside of three meals a day, excluding water, and snacks can be reasonably selected as a nutritional supplement for preschool children in addition to their main meals.
It is recommended that snacks be combined with snacks as much as possible, arranged between two meals, the amount of snacks should not be too much, so as not to affect the appetite of the main meal, wash hands before eating snacks, rinse your mouth after eating, and do not eat snacks within 30 minutes before going to bed.
Choose snacks wiselyThe following points should be paid attention to when choosing snacks:
preferably dairy products, fruits, vegetables and nuts;
Eat less foods high in salt, sugar, fat and may contain trans fatty acids, such as puffed foods, fried foods, concandies and desserts, ice cream, etc.;
No or less sugary drinks;
Snacks should be fresh, hygienic and easy to digest;
Special attention should be paid to children's eating safety, avoid eating whole beans and nuts, to prevent food from choking into the trachea and accidents, it is recommended that nuts and legumes be ground into flour or beaten into a paste for consumption.
