Immediately after that, the system will ask to take a picture of the candidate's ID. For candidates with Chinese nationality, please make sure to take a picture of the bio page of your passport. It is important to ensure that you are online on time, and you will be disqualified from the exam after 15 minutes.
4* Install the proctor proctor.
Once your identity has been verified, you will be prompted** to install the Proctoru proctoring program. Since the program's servers are located in the United States, the process may take some time. Students who have completed ** in advance can directly open the proctoru program.
5 Device Detection and ConnectionEstablishment Before the start of the exam, please follow the prompts of the Proctoru program to perform the device detection. When all devices have been detected, the countdown will begin. Once the countdown is over, the program automatically establishes a connection between the examiner and the candidate.
6 Examination Environment and Equipment Inspection ProcessAfter successfully establishing contact with the examiner, please follow the examiner's instructions to check the examination environment and computer environment. The examiner will communicate with the candidate via voice call to ensure that privacy is not compromised. If candidates have difficulties with listening or speaking, they can apply to the examiner to communicate using text chat.
The examiner will ask candidates to use the mobile phone** function to display the computer, desktop, under the desktop, whiteboard, whiteboard marker, whiteboard eraser and other items in turn. Candidates who wear glasses may also be required to show additional glasses. Once you have completed the presentation, please follow the examiner's instructions to place your phone in a corner away from the test area to ensure that it does not interfere with the test process.
Next, the examiner will ask the candidate to hold the computer in a 360-degree surround display to ensure that the exam environment is compliant. Candidates are requested to cooperate with the examiner's instructions to ensure that the presentation is comprehensive and detailed.
After entering the exam
After all pre-exam checks are completed, the examiner will launch the ETS Test Browser and enter the key to unlock the exam. Once unlocked, the interface that test takers see will be the same as the interface of the offline test room and the interface of the GRE official website practice test. At this point, candidates only need to follow the prompts and requirements on the interface to take the normal exam.
Important:There is no break during the reformed GRE test. Candidates are advised to ensure that they are well rested and prepared before the start of the exam.
After the exam
When the answering session is over, but before the results are announced, the system will give the candidate a choice:Whether or not to keep the scores from this examand choose to send your transcripts to the relevant institutions free of charge.
If the candidate chooses to keep the score, it will be displayedquantwithverbalPartial results. Conversely, if you choose not to keep it, you will not know the specific result of the test.
Once you have made the above selections, ETS Test Browser will automatically exit. The examiner will perform a final check and after making sure everything is in order, the candidate will be asked to clean up the exam notes. Once this step is completed, the exam is officially over.
