On March 6, Yunnan Provincial Railway Investment released the "Bidding Announcement for the Feasibility Study of the Longitudinal Railway Corridor in East Yunnan" on the Yunnan Provincial Public Resources Trading Information Network, which means that the construction of the longitudinal railway channel in East Yunnan has taken another step.
According to the announcement, the construction scale is to complete the preliminary test and feasibility study report of the eastern Yunnan longitudinal railway corridor project according to the current standards of the railway industry (according to the socio-economic development status of the states and cities along the line and the railway transportation needs, the construction sequence of the whole line of the project needs to be studied as a whole), and cooperate with the completion of the relevant review and approval work; Assist the relevant pre-document preparation unit to complete the preparation of relevant topics; Assist in the completion of investment and financing plans; Provide relevant technical support and services.
According to public information, the route of the longitudinal railway corridor in eastern Yunnan is consistent with the National Medium and Long-term Railway Network Plan (2016 Edition). The total length of the planned line from Qiubei to Wenshan is about 82 kilometers, and the northern section of Qiubei is about 20 kilometers, which is designed according to the standard of single-line passenger and freight co-line of the national railway, and the design speed is 160 kilometers per hour (reserved for double line and 200 kilometers and 200 kilometers per hour speed increase conditions). At present, the "Bidding Announcement for the Survey and Design Project of the New Qiubei to Wenshan Railway" has been released on the Yunnan Provincial Public Resources Trading Information Network, and the project is subject to a one-time overall bidding for survey and design in the feasibility study stage, and the preliminary work of the project is progressing in an orderly manner. After the completion of the project, it will better connect Yuezhou Industrial Zone, Luliang Industrial Park, Shizong Industrial Park, Baishui Industrial Park and Luxi Industrial Park into a line, integrate the industrial park into one, meet the transportation of bulk goods in the industrial park, reduce logistics costs, accelerate the industrial upgrading of the park, have a good driving role in local economic development, boost the high-quality development of the local economy, and truly give full play to the "first" and "backbone" function of the railway.
