Life is meaningless, and all meanings are artificially given

It doesn't make sense.

This was my first feeling about life. We live our lives every day, how can our lives be meaningful? The so-called meaning is given by others. When I was a child, our teachers instilled knowledge in us, saying that knowledge is power and can change fate. When we grow up, society tells us that power, money, status, and marriage are the meaning of life. Later, we realized that family, friends, and loved ones are the meaning of our lives. Will the meaning of the present be there in the future? Does it make sense in the future? The meaning of time, the past and the future, is always passing away. So, what is meaning? Meaning is given to oneself and has nothing to do with others.

Last week, I promised to be a life coach for a friend's child, and he asked me, "Dad, what is life?" I looked him in the eye and answered him seriously with two words: "Game." He said, "Life is not a game, Dad." I smiled and didn't speak. In fact, life is a game, but we take it too seriously, so we feel that it is meaningless. Life is meaningless, and all meanings are artificially given

Last week, I was on a plane, just in time for a late arrival, and my seat next to me was a middle-aged woman. She kept taking out a book and reading it, even though the plane had already taken off, she kept turning the pages. I was curious, so I asked her, "Why do you keep reading this book?" It's stuffy. She looked up at me, smiled, and didn't speak. After a while, she suddenly sat up straight and said to me loudly, "This book makes a lot of sense!" "I was surprised and ashamed. I have discovered that all meanings are given by others, and only I can give meaning to my life.

It was only later that I realized that all mentally ill people are outcasts from society. Abandoned by their families when they were young, and abandoned by society when they grow up, they don't know the meaning of their existence, so they look for meaning in the world of the mentally ill. Those of us who are healthy know the meaning of our existence very clearly, but we are too busy to look for it.

Remember, when you close your eyes, it's dark, and you're the universe. When the night passes, it is the dawn, and you are the sun.
