We should look at the value of the times of Lei Feng's spirit from the perspective of development under the ever-changing historical conditions, rather than bidding farewell to Lei Feng's spirit.The reason why Lei Feng's spirit is noble lies in its core connotation, that is, to serve the people wholeheartedly. Lei Feng does not care about personal gains and losses, and does not seek fame and fortune, which reflects the unremitting pursuit of noble virtue by an ordinary citizen.
March 5 this year is the 61st National Lei Feng Memorial Day. In the past few days, a series of activities have been carried out in various places to revisit the story of Lei Feng and learn and inherit the spirit of Lei Feng.
The spirit of Lei Feng in the new era is enduring. Lei Feng is a well-known heroic figure in China, and he is also one of the heroes who have been questioned and smeared the most by historical nihilists in recent years. Some people think that the spirit of Lei Feng is incompatible with the market economy and has become "outdated"; Some people think that learning from Lei Feng is "too advanced" and learning from Lei Feng "suppresses personality"; What's more, they directly distort and smear Lei Feng's image and deny Lei Feng's spirit. How to view the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era is a major cognitive problem that we urgently need to solve.
For more than half a century, Lei Feng's image and quality of helping others, being diligent and thrifty, and working hard and simple have been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. And when wearing leather jackets and woolen pants, liking cultural activities, and dancing the former Soviet Union, these historical details that are incompatible with Lei Feng's thrifty, hard-working, and simple image and quality appear, people will inevitably question the authenticity of Lei Feng's deeds, thinking that Lei Feng is a "fake model" constructed based on the needs of the country. The Lei Feng we knew in the past was not a "fake Lei Feng", but a Lei Feng who was not comprehensive enough. The fact that Lei Feng has "luxury" is not contradictory to the fact that he is thrifty and thrifty, we must not only understand the causes and consequences behind these "luxuries", but also see that these "luxuries" are the "touchstone" of Lei Feng's thoughts, when realizing that true happiness is not the pursuit of material enjoyment, but in the infinite service to the people to obtain happiness and satisfaction, Lei Feng resolutely pressed these "luxuries" at the bottom of the box. From these little-known details, we recognize a more real and vivid Lei Feng.
We must look at the changes in Lei Feng's image from a comprehensive and dialectical point of view, and we must not use part to negate all or Lei Feng.
After experiencing the transformation from a planned economy to a market economy, Lei Feng's spirit of selfless dedication is facing the challenge of the principle of equivalent exchange and the principle of distribution according to work. The spirit of "screws" and collectivism are faced with the challenge of focusing on the realization of individual values. In the reality of context transformation, some people advocate bidding farewell to the spirit of Lei Feng, denying the quality of Lei Feng's spirit of keeping pace with the times, and denying the great achievements of learning from Lei Feng's activities over the past few decades.

For a period of time, some people have wantonly slandered Lei Feng's image in cyberspace such as post bars, forums, and Weibo, and concocted various so-called "evidence" to prove that Lei Feng's "saving is fake", "* is fake", "diary is fake", "donation is fake", etc. In response to these questions, Lei Feng's former comrades-in-arms and colleagues all responded reasonably and forcefully. We must not let the historical nihilism that slanders and smears Lei Feng and Lei Feng's spirit go unchecked.
History cannot be tampered with, and heroes cannot be slandered. How we view history has a bearing on the future direction of the Chinese nation. In addition to the use of the law, it is also necessary to create a strong atmosphere of advocating, defending, learning and caring for heroes in the whole society. At the same time, it is necessary to study in depth the advanced deeds and spiritual demeanor of heroic figures, resist and criticize historical nihilism in a targeted manner, and let the banner of Lei Feng's spirit fly high.
