A few days ago, Fujian Jinhua released good news, that is, after a five-year lawsuit, the U.S. court ruled that Fujian Jinhua did not steal the trade secrets of U.S. chip companies and was not guilty.
Suddenly, netizens were excited, saying that justice was late but arrived, and this victory also shows that the United States' dream of suppressing China's technology industry has been shattered again, and China's rise is unstoppable.
On the surface, it seems that this is indeed the case, the reason why the U.S. Department of Justice sued Fujian Jinhua is to use these means to hinder the rise of China's memory chip industry.
But in fact, don't be so happy, in terms of performance, Fujian Jinhua has won, but in fact it is a big loser, because the real purpose of the United States has been achieved, that is, it has dragged on for 5 years, and the entire Fujian Jinhua chip project has stopped, and the company has almost collapsed, so how can we win?
We know that in 2016, three major memory chip foundations were established in China, namely Yangtze River Storage, which focuses on NAND flash memory; Changxin Storage, which focuses on DRAM memory, and Fujian Jinhua, which focuses on DRAM memory.
Today, YMTC's NAND products have been sold worldwide, and it is the world's first mass production of 232-layer 3D NAND flash memory, winning about 5% of the global market, and later suppressed it by the United States.
Changxin has also mass-produced DDR5 memory, with a global market of about 4%, becoming a Chinese force that cannot be ignored in the memory field.
And what about Fujian Jinhua in the same period? Because it was sued by Micron and the U.S. Department of Justice, it has been nearly 8 years since 2016, and there has been no progress, UMC has also withdrawn, and the project has come to a standstill.
Next, even if Jinhua and Micron reconcile and win the lawsuit with the U.S. Department of Justice, UMC estimates that it will be difficult to participate, and even if everything goes well, how many years will it take to achieve something? Not to mention that it was still 8 years ago? Is the time still there?
These 8 years are the best time wasted, and how much is this time worth? Can this lawsuit be a victory? It can only be said that it is a pyrrhic victory.
In fact, China's rise is unstoppable, and as far as the United States is concerned, it also knows that it cannot be stopped, and the purpose of the United States is to delay the time of China's rise as much as possible and slow down the progress, so that the goal of the United States will be achieved.
In the matter of Fujian Jinhua, the United States has dragged on for 5 years, which is equivalent to blocking the rise of China's memory chips for 5 years, and the United States has already won, as for the outcome of the lawsuit, it doesn't matter, of course it is better to win, even if the lawsuit is lost, in fact, the United States is also a big victory, stirring up a memory chip project, what do you think?
