Gong Shuguang丨A one man peach blossom source

Mondo Tourism Updated on 2024-03-07

Old Tang is a weirdo. When a friend introduced me, that's what I said. After seven or eight years of dating, looking back, it's true.

said that he was strange, at first Lao Tang did not reply, but he was aggrieved. A pair of bulging eyes are fixed on you, full of arrogance and helplessness. After a long time, he doesn't seem to care anymore, whatever you say, he just laughs. In fact, Lao Tang usually loves to laugh, and when he laughs, he is frank and hearty, which can be very infectious. I like to watch Lao Tang smile, he will bring you relaxed and happy, so that you have no worries.

When he saw Lao Tang for the first time, he smiled like this, like a spring breeze, like an autumn sun, warm and bright. It was a midsummer night in the Peach Blossom Garden, the moon was good, and the fog was good. The moon cage is misty, and the water is rippling. The mountains in the distance, the valleys near them, are immersed in the fog of this month, rippling together. In the quiet night, a local friend accompanied me over tea and chatted. Somehow, I talked about Lao Tang and said that he was a weirdo. She said that in a ravine in the Peach Blossom Garden, Lao Tang invested five or six hundred million yuan, built fifty or sixty wooden houses, and tossed for seven or eight years, but refused to open. The local ** and farmers laughed at him: he spent five or six billion yuan to toss a homestay, and people can do it in a year and a half, but he can't collect the stall for ten years! Lao Tang was quite disdainful, with a disdain for the chickens and ducks, and the ambition of the birds, saying that he had built the most cultural resort in China, and the goal was to surpass Aman. The locals know about Aman, only Amway or Anne ......

When I heard that, I laughed. I thought, this peach blossom source is the peach blossom source! Everything sounds like a fairy tale. I've been to a few Aman hotels at home and abroad. Beyond Aman, there may be people who think about it, real gold ** spent money to do it, I haven't seen it. I asked my friend: Who are the real investors? Friend replied: Old Tang, Tang Chunbao! I asked again: Who is Lao Tang? My friend replied again: a local farmer! I don't think my friends are talking about fairy tales, or Lao Tang was originally a fairy tale. When my friend saw that I didn't believe it, he gave Lao Tang a **, saying that he was introducing a big man in the cultural industry and asked him to come quickly.

In about half an hour, someone pushed the door. The door opened, and I saw a short and short man, with a round face and a bald head, smiling like a Maitreya Buddha, wearing a white swaying moonlight and coming in. A cardigan and a pair of wide crotch pants, as if he had just finished class. He held a stack of drawings in his arms, almost up to his chin. Friend introduction: Old soup, soup boss! Lao Tang put down the drawings he was holding, wiped the beads of sweat on his forehead, like wiping the moonlight on his forehead, and smiled brightly: What boss? I'm a farmer! As if he was afraid that I wouldn't believe it, he pointed to a ridge under the moon outside the door, and said that his family's old house was in the ditch under the mountain. His emphasis on being a peasant is either self-humility, or self-confidence, or perhaps a provocation to a so-called bigwig, but his frank and hearty smile melts everything away, and you just think that he is telling the truth.

A friend asked: Why do you move so many drawings? Lao Tang said that he was an expert, how to ask for advice without drawings? I think Lao Tang must have guessed my mind and moved the drawings, just to prove that the goal he pursued was not a joke. When I opened the drawings, I saw that they were by no means the work of a large studio, and many of them were hand-drawn and not professionally handwritten, some of them looked like children's drawings, and some of them looked like schematic drawings of carpentry masons. However, when these three types of drawings are stacked together, I can imagine that this project is indeed quite similar to Amanfayun, but it is more rural, and the layout of the mountains, streams and buildings feels more harmonious and appropriate. I asked who was the concept designer? Lao Tang said it was him; Q: Who is the architect? Lao Tang said it was him; Again, who is environmental design? Lao Tang said that it was still him. Friends said that even carpentry and masonry work, he took the lead himself, not to mention planning and design! Lao Tang said that in order to inspect the dwellings in northwest Hunan Province, he spent nearly two years visiting the ancient villages of Changde, Xiangxi, and Huaihua, and also went to Jiangxi, Anhui, and Fujian to inspect the old villages of various styles. The timber and stone used to build these houses were all moved from the old village, and every wood and stone had the ...... of years of pulp

I'm deliberately pulling the conversation away from Aman and Hoshinoya to see how much he knows about luxury hotels. Lao Tang said: Aman's biggest mistake was the use of non-local designers. These people are good at cultural expression, not inheritance and preservation. A foreigner cannot truly appreciate the wonder of Chinese villages, and cannot convey the essence of the oriental spirit. Although Hoshinoya makes full use of the natural landscape, it is only for use, and its architecture lacks the "sense of growth" that really comes from the landscape. Lao Tang's opinion obviously does not come from books. Because he did not graduate from high school, he dropped out of school to run a long-distance truck, and never entered school again, nor did he study with a teacher. In his early years, he was obsessed with gambling, and once he was on the table, he could sit in the village for seven days and seven nights. Later, Jin Basin washed his hands and took over a little family business accumulated by his grandfather, selling building materials, doing real estate, running schools, and opening hotels. His understanding of the relationship between nature, culture and architecture should come from his aesthetic talent, but also from his fascination with traditional village life. I believe in the enlightenment of mountains and rivers and the influence of customs, so his aesthetic and cultural outlook should be related to his long-term life in the Peach Blossom Spring. Lao Tang's strangeness is probably because of his business logic, aesthetic endowment and cultural complex, which are too far away from his identity and life, and from an ordinary point of view, he looks like a mystery.

Early the next morning, Lao Tang led him to the ravine. accompanied by Liang Jianguo. Lao Liang is the initiator of the "new Chinese" decorative style and a recognized design master in the industry. Lao Liang said that he has come to see this project many times, and he can make it into a representative work of "new Chinese style". Lao Liang's participation gave Lao Tang inspiration and reference, but what Lao Tang wanted in his heart was not the "new Chinese style" that refines some traditional elements, but the original furnishings of folk houses in northwest Hunan Province, a kind of traditional handicrafts and aesthetics in the countryside, and a sense of immersion in pure folk life. In the end, he gave up the "new Chinese style" and painted, selected, and matched by himself, and he restored and activated those authentic traditional handicrafts and scenes into a disappearing cultural symbol into a village way of life, retrospectively and sublimated into a peach blossom paradise-style life experience. Lao Liang was reluctant to miss the project, but he understood very well that this project was no longer a product or a commodity, but a painstaking work, and its author would always be only one, and that was Lao Tang himself.

Walk along the Qinxi River and turn left into the two mountains. A stream of water, meandering along the valley, sometimes the stream and sometimes the pond, sometimes narrow and sometimes wide. The water is clear, and the reflection is full of verdant valleys, such as gargling jade and Hanbi. There is the sound of water, the sound of the wind, and the empty mountain insects sing a symphony of birdsong, not grandiose, ethereal and misty, more show the silence and remoteness of the valley. The sunlight is as fresh as the air, shining through the trees and bamboo fences, shooting out swaying pillars of light, illuminating the moss, ferns and wildflowers in the forest, giving it a sense of primitiveness that is off the beaten track. From a distance, you can't see the building clearly, and occasionally the wind drags the treetops, and a corner of the green eaves will appear, and then it will be submerged by the green trees. After watching it for a long time, it looms, like a child's game. Approaching, there are small courtyards in the valley, wooden houses one by one, like fir fungus, clumps of nests growing in the forest, looking to fend for themselves, and the heavens, earth, mountains and rivers are in harmony. The walls of the courtyard are low, and they come from the bamboo forest or the bushes, like giant vines with vicissitudes. The walls are made of earth, stone, or brick, and are covered with moss, vines, or wild flowers. Its appearance and demeanor are natural and not extraordinarily swaggering. The floor of the yard is made of glutinous rice, lime, clay and tung oil, which is clean and hard, but it looks like mud, which is no different from the old sun-drying floor of the farmhouse.

The wooden houses are mostly one-storey, which is the shape of the folk houses in northwest Hunan Province. or three, or four, and occasionally with one more transept. The dark brown columns, the slab walls, the roof that has been overgrown with Wafi, and the weather-beaten old age, you can't tell how long it has been here, and you can only imagine how many dynasties have changed outside the mountain. The entrance is the hall house, the right side bedroom, the left side of the bathroom, each room is spacious but not empty. The roof is high, and the green tiles match the rafters of the wooden beams, giving it a sense of comfort that connects with the outdoors. The back wall of the hall is a large piece of glass, which directly reflects the hillside, bamboo and wood behind the house, and the scenery changes throughout the year, and it is a fresh scenery every day. If it's snowy, it's like lying on top of a snowy field. The interior woodware is extremely exquisite, made of old materials of Jin Sinan, and the craftsmanship of experts in the Forbidden City. The linen is pure linen finely spun, original white, simple and comfortable. The sanitary ware is luxurious, and all the hardware is customized by the Italian Jieshi, which is a Chinese-style old copper-shaped model.

I think it's normal to spend five or six billion yuan on an exclusive customization of facilities and appliances. It's just that there are only a few dozen courtyards for noodle customers, and the average cost is still ridiculously high. Lao Tang said that it is not these places that spend a lot of money, but the old wood and old stones, as well as the man-hours of building houses with these old materials, several times or even more than ten times. The workers are old craftsmen who are about to disappear, and they are all the work of their hands, and they will not be able to enter the eyes of the law as soon as they are fast. For example, the windows of each house are carved for hundreds of years, with different sizes and patterns, and the structure of each house should be designed and built according to the window grilles. There is also a garden landscape, all you see are natural forests, natural vegetation, in fact, the entire valley is transplanted, a total of nearly 20,000 trees have been transplanted. The moss on the ground, on the wall, and on the roof is also planted, and a patch of thirty or forty square meters of moss in front of it has cost two million to plant and maintain. As I said, I found that every public area here is very well sited: the restaurant is a two-story courtyard house, facing the mountains and water. A cinnabar plum tree in the courtyard, the canopy is like an umbrella, covering the entire central courtyard, the green leaves are like yarn in spring and summer, and in the flowering season, the courtyard is full of vermilion plums such as the glow, and the dark fragrance floats in a ditch of moonlight. The swimming pool is located at the top of the mountain, a pool of clear water reflects the moon, the starlight and fireflies shine together, and the evening breeze makes waves, which is as interesting as a wild bath in the stream. Its tea room, are located in the deep bamboo forest, a pot of self-produced tea before the Ming Dynasty, on the four sides of the bamboo shadow pine wind, not like the Wei and Jin, better than the Wei and Jin. There are also rice paddies, ponds, tea plantations, fruit groves and creekside meadows, where chickens and dogs bark and smoke curls from cooking. Buffalo graze grass on the slopes, ducks forage in the fields, and white cranes dip their feet and bathe their feathers at the water's edge. The trees and flowers all over the slopes and valleys bloom crazy and wild, like a village girl. The silence and noise here exist in the heavens and the earth, and ...... into the soul

I don't understand, the hotel seems to have everything ready, why does Lao Tang refuse to open to meet customers? Although it may not be profitable, it can at least save nearly 10 million maintenance fees per year. Lao Tang's answer once again impressed me. Lao Tang said that what he wanted was not a hotel, but a village, a village that reproduced the ecology and realm of the Peach Blossom Spring. If it's just one hotel, no matter how good it is, isn't it one more Aman? As a village, the functions here are not yet complete, and more importantly, I have not yet presented the soul of the Peach Blossom Spring!

What if it never shows? I asked him. He said that it would never be opened, just as the gambling was lost. He smiled as he spoke, smiling like a stubborn boy. He said that there is still a big thing to do, which is estimated to take two or three years. Even if it were to improve the village, I couldn't imagine any other big project that would take so much time. It turned out that he found a magical plant in the bamboo forest, whose scientific name is Emerald Cloud Grass. This grass is vigorous and lush all year round. In the same season, in the same day, the color changes from time to time, red like agate, green like jasper, yellow like pure gold, and even at the same time in the same place, each blade of grass has a different color, growing together in a colorful way. Lao Tang had to shovel the existing ground cover in the valley and plant all the green cloud grass. Lao Tang took me to see the emerald cloud grass, the blades of the grass were oval, small and lovely, the edges were jagged, and the vines were slender, spread on the ground, like delicate lace. I blurted out: God's lace! Lao Tang was overjoyed, and felt that this name was not only expressive, but also beautiful, so beautiful that it was soul-deterring. It will take him two or three years to plant the whole valley with God's lace!

Lao Tang seems to be completely unconcerned about the huge cost of being replanted, and the impact of a two- or three-year delay in opening on the project. I have some doubts about whether he is an investor or a designer who does things spontaneously. In fact, he has not much of his own funds left, so he is looking for bank loans everywhere. With such a large investment, loans are normal, but the unlimited additional investment and postponement of opening have broken through the bottom line of risk management. Although it is a new friend, I still can't help but remind: what is important now is to complete this product as soon as possible and successfully convert it into a product! Lao Tang didn't think so: What I did was a work! In my mind, it has never been a commodity. What Lao Tang said was true, and his actions had confirmed what he said.

Lao Tang likes to say something very affectionate, such as saving the houses in northwest Hunan Province, reproducing the Peach Blossom Spring, reviving the civilization of oriental villages, and so on. In all fairness, I'm not used to it. These grand themes always make me feel absurd, especially on the lips of a farmer who has made a fortune, but everything Lao Tang does seems to be explained only in this way. So I often use a proverb to ridicule: I am not afraid of the plane pulling poop, I am afraid that the peasants love culture! When Lao Tang heard this, he was not angry, and smiled like a Maitreya Buddha as usual. Slowly, I say, there is much more admiration and praise than ridicule.

We both seemed to feel compatible. He wanted to ask me to be a cultural advisor, but I didn't. But he came to me every once in a while to discuss, and I would devote myself wholeheartedly, often fighting for red-faced, unclear people, thinking that the two ** East were arguing.

Lao Tang really planted the green cloud grass all over the valley, no matter what season you go, the side of the stream, the front and back of the yard, and even the cornice wall, are all colorful colors. You can't imagine how even the next few bushes are of their own color, and they are so wonderfully and harmoniously matched. The old soup should be ready to open! I didn't have time to congratulate him, a great drought struck, and two-thirds of the green clouds and grass everywhere died. I thought that the old soup who wanted to cry without tears must stop here, but he still smiled, led the gardener, and planted green cloud grass on the hillside with his hands and feet. He put sprinkler irrigation on all the meadows and said to me with a smile: No matter how dry it is, it will not die. This toss is another two or three years. During this period, he built a theater, a handicraft hall, and a meditation room, which complemented the functions and scenes of the village. Then the Yunshe Hotel was changed to Yunshe Village. He asked me to think of an advertising slogan for the village, and I said four words: "Sit and listen to the heartbeat". At first, he thought it was good, but later he felt that the village culture was not highlighted. After that, I thought of two more sentences: "Peach Blossom Garden in my dream, Yunshe Village in the world"! He was overjoyed when he saw it, and thanked him again and again on WeChat. I thought this was a foregone conclusion, but the official name he launched couldn't be found from beginning to end, and in the end he used: "Oriental Village Civilization". No need to guess, this sentence is his own. For more than ten years, he has been working day and night for these six words, and he can't help but shout them out directly!

Lao Tang has finally decided to open! I didn't believe it, but this time he said it categorically: "Eleven" opened! He and I discussed the preparations for the opening, and said that the art in the yard was still missing, and I didn't know what to do. I said that the old calligraphy and painting can not be collected, and the new famous artist does not know who to invite, it is better to collect some Taoyuan embroidery and Taoyuan wood carving, the real local folk handicraft, aesthetically advanced, culturally local, can highlight and enhance the taste of Yunshe villagers' culture and craftsmanship. Lao Tang slapped his head and said that such a good resource, why didn't he expect that he almost starved to death while sitting in the rice retort!

After two months, Lao Tang invited me again and again, saying that he had found excellent Taoyuan embroidery and Taoyuan carving, which was shocking, and he must have let me go to Yunshe Village for a sneak peek. As soon as I went, Lao Tang took me to see more than a dozen pieces of Taoyuan embroidery, which were all blue and white embroidery, simple and vivid, abstract and concise, with the elegance of blue and white porcelain, but there was more of a pure and spicy mountain atmosphere. I didn't expect that Taoyuan embroidery has such a simple and elegant variety of blue and white embroidery, aesthetically, it is indeed more interesting and energetic than the "four famous embroidery". Lao Tang took me to see the Taoyuan wood carving, the carved characters are vivid in shape, expressive in expression, and the story has a strong folk interest. I think that these two local folk crafts have found the cultural and aesthetic soul of Yunshe Village, and can put the finishing touch to it. Lao Tang wants to pour everything he has, collect these embroidery and wood carving products from the collectors, make two exhibition halls in the village, and invite the old artists of embroidery and wood carving to make customized ...... on the spot

11. "After the big holiday, I went to Yunshe Village, the village is still quiet and empty, except for the gardener who is dressed in hemp overalls and takes care of the grass and trees, it is the sunshine and flowing water. As I walked, it was as silent and vast as when I turned back into the valley. Lao Tang still hasn't opened, saying that the business license has not been issued, but I know that this is an excuse. The real reason should be the difficulty of funds, the Taoyuan embroidery and Taoyuan wood carving that he likes have not yet been collected, the craftsmen have not yet been found, and the exhibition hall cannot be opened. Lao Tang is like a girl who is locked in the boudoir and dresses in the mirror, she always feels that "you are not allowed to look at it if her hair is not combed", and the longer she dresses up, the more she dare not see people. Others do cultural tourism, they use money to do projects, and Lao Tang uses life to make works. In the past fourteen or fifteen years, for this work, he not only changed himself from a person who made money every day to a person who made money at sunrise, but also turned himself from a young man to a middle-aged man with vicissitudes of life. He was trapped in a ravine, planting flowers and grass, building houses with stones, destroying them, building and demolishing them, and tossing himself over and over again, not actually doing a project, but self-cultivation. I look at him, treating people and things, more and more like a monk, when he had a lot of money, and often anxious about business, but now he is in debt of hundreds of millions, but he is not arrogant or impatient, and he looks calm and relaxed. During the day, he could sit by the water, watch a dragonfly fly around, and at night in the bamboo forest, meditate and listen to his heartbeat, until the moon sank and the stars were thin. One day, when it came to opening a campaign, I said that there was an idea, that is, on the day of the opening, you would be a monk and promise to swipe the screen immediately! A rich man, who has been hiding in a ravine for more than ten years, has not only smashed his wealth into it, but also cultivated himself into a born person, this story is guaranteed to be able to go away. Lao Tang smiled and thought I was joking, but in fact, I was talking from my heart. People say that the Peach Blossom Spring is just a yearning, but Lao Tang is a personal practice. In the final analysis, he understands better than anyone else that the so-called Peach Blossom Source is only in the cultivation of people returning to nature and returning to themselves. And the Yunshe Village where he was in Zizi was just a dojo for him to practice!

That night, the two of us sat in the courtyard on the hillside, drinking tea and listening to the wind, watching the waning moon in the sky and the occasional flash of meteors. For a long time, no one spoke, but sat there listening to their own heartbeats and each other's heartbeats. Parting and getting up, Lao Tang said: Don't do the opening ceremony, don't do publicity and promotion, people who are destined to come to receive him, people who are not destined to shout at him will not come, anyway, it is impossible to rely on this village to make money and return to the capital. Besides, if there are many people, this is not Yunshe Village, not ...... Peach Blossom Spring

Old Tang carried a lantern and walked down the mountain road, where he lived, by the stream at the bottom of the valley. The night was very thick, and after a while, it drowned out the back of the old soup and the flickering lantern. A light shines in the corner! Lao Tang's Yunshe Village, how can it become a peach blossom source in the hearts of many destined people?
