GC Audio introduces Inherit Bank, an accessory for fast jumpers for the Inherit system, to improve your recording and mixing chain workflows. This hot-swappable system allows you to quickly test and select multiple preamps, compressors, equalizers, harmonics, and more.
The series currently includes the Inherit Rack, 2U host chassis, and a series of Inherit Cartridges with a variety of analog preamplifier circuitry.
No more patch pad operation, no more wasting time plugging and unplugging, no more asking artists to wait for another device to plug in.
The Inherit system is technically superior to other modular formats such as the 500 Series, with seven different voltage and high current capabilities. This means that it can power true tube technology and complex discrete devices.
The company has announced plans to expand the current system with Inherit Bank, an additional rack chassis that will be used as an expansion unit for the Inherit Rack, adding an additional four phono slots to make it easier to audition for different tonal options. The system has launched a series of microphone preamp cartridges and promises that other processors will soon join the range, and in addition to the Inherit Bank news, GC Audio has also said that they will soon release a demo** showing some new compressors and EQ cartridges.
The system is connected to the Inherit Rack via a single DB25 cable and offers two modes of operation: default mode and serial mode. Default Mode: Users can quickly insert any of the four boxes into the signal path of the Inherit Rack by pressing the corresponding front panel button, Series Mode: Allows modules to be connected in series with each other to create custom modular channel strips.
Note: The Inherit Bank only works when connected to the Inherit rack, and two devices can be connected with a single D-Sub cable.
