Zhou Xunjun, Doctor of Literature, Academy of Fine Arts, Postdoctoral Fellow in Fine Arts, Beijing Normal University. **Researcher of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Research Institute of Culture and History, consultant of the Chinese Overseas Students Association of the European and American Scholars Association, and member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Calligraphy of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts.

- Ten Notes on Calligraphy

When you first start researching a problem, you will certainly have the joy of discovery, but it will be even more tiring and boring. However, after the completion of the long preliminary investigation work (a year and a half), when the materials that have been screened out are sorted out for a second time, there is really a small shop owner who is comfortable taking inventory of inventory. At this time, although the things in the hand may not all be useful, not necessarily all of the top grades, but the useful ones (three or five out of ten) and the top grades (one out of ten and twelve) must be in them, and how to combine and mix them to make the best use of them, and they are no different from the chef's cooking, and the color and fragrance are hidden in them, which is really very fun.

When you start researching a problem, you first rely on curiosity. And once you start your journey along the material, what you see will automatically open up a path that will lead you forward. However, it is important to be wary that the direction of automatic presentation can sometimes lead you to a deviation, and once you perceive this, you must return to the original doubt, and note this direction for later expansion or addendum.

When you take the opportunity to write, you can always read good sentences. Recently, what impressed me deeply is Xin Qiji's sentence "Seek happiness in tastelessness, and live this life between materials", and Lu You's sentence "Flowers are like explanations and many things, and stones can't be said to be the most lovely", "A floating life experience, very cold hearted", and Sun Chengzong's sentence "The painter doesn't know the bitterness of the fisherman, so he can make a picture of fishing snow in the cold river", which is quite able to get the true taste of the world.

Dong Qichang is an interesting person, saying that "in the future, when you meet the pen inkstone, you should think about Jinzhuang", "there is no spirit in the distance, and the lucky immortal is also" is he, after being inspired and inspired by Yan Zhenqing, he said, "Yu is a good book, and lazy Jinzhuang", "As a scholar, but the book is a pleasant thing, although praise and disdain is not asked" is also him.

Although Inoue's calligraphy is called modern calligraphy, its spirit is absolutely classical: the content of the writing, the pen and ink, all flow from the chest, whether it is calm and happy or plain and naïve, no different from the ancient "Yan Yang". From this point of view, as long as we talk about "calligraphy", it does not matter whether there is a difference between ancient and modern.

When looking back at his personal history of poetry, Seamus Heaney says that "poetry was first encountered as an unfamiliar cultural fact, and then over time it was internalized and became what they call second nature." Since poetry can be internalized as second nature to human beings in contemporary times, so can calligraphy. The key lies in the tempering of the individual, the habit, and the habit into nature.
