In 1990, after graduating from university, I was assigned to work in a coal company, and I ate in the canteen of the agency, and when I should eat, I took two large porcelain bowls and rushed to the canteen.
In 1991, I got married and started a family, and my wife is a middle school and high school teacher for the children of a coal company. When I first started my family, it was a two-story building next to each other on the first floor of a small two-story building at the back of the middle school. Coal stove for cooking, pot stove or something, put it in the hallway.
When I first got married, I only ate and couldn't cook, and I didn't care about cooking, thinking that cooking was a woman's business, and my wife wouldn't let me cook, thinking that men shouldn't cook. Every meal is made by my wife, and I occasionally wash the dishes or something.

My wife's class is two classes in the morning and two days a week, and the class ends at 12 o'clock, and when I get home, my wife puts down the lesson plan and textbook, and she has to hurry up, add water, cook, and stir-fry. Seeing that my wife was exhausted and sometimes had no appetite after cooking, I felt that this was not a long-term solution, so I decided to learn to cook.

If it's just cooking a home-cooked meal like rice, noodles, steamed soup, etc., then cooking should be the easiest thing in the world. Despite this, due to the lack of experience, the process of learning to cook also encountered many bumps: when boiling the soup, the noodle soup overflowed the entire stove; When steaming rice, add too little water, and accidentally steam the rice dry and steam the paste; The noodles stuck to the bottom of the pot because they were not stirred in time; I forgot to put salt in the stir-fry because I was in a hurry, and so on. However, after eating a trench and growing wise, **falling** and getting up, I quickly mastered the basic essentials of cooking home-cooked meals and was able to share the cooking for my wife.
As with any skill, there is a process where practice makes perfect. If you are proficient, you will naturally pursue better. Later, I mastered many cooking tips: hard-boiled eggs are whipped in cold water to peel them; When boiling the soup, use low heat after the soup is boiling; When making lo mein, the steamed noodles and stir-fried vegetables should be simmered for a while after stirring; When stir-frying meat, when the meat is put into the oil pan, drop a little white wine, and the meat will be softer; When steaming rice, there should be less water in the rice bowl, so that the rice is delicious and ......
With these skills, I became more comfortable with cooking and gradually became an indispensable celebrity chef in my small family.
For a while, I even bought a cookbook called "Home Cooking" with great interest and learned to cook it for a while while as if I had a fever. Fortunately, my wife did not complain and comforted me.
Nowadays, taking stock of my cooking skills, I can cook general home-cooked meals, I can make the whole set of dumplings, and I can also cook more than 10 cold and hot dishes, which is more than enough to cope with ordinary daily life or entertain a few guests.
The skills that I have never learned are steaming buns and rolling noodles. Steamed buns have not been tried; I learned to roll noodles for a while, but the effect was not ideal, and the noodles I made were thick and unpalatable, and I was disheartened and didn't want to get involved in the field anymore, hehehe.
I talked to my friends about my cooking career, and my friends complimented, laughed, and grabbed their cooking experiences from time to time, and before I knew it, the two bottles of fine wine had bottomed out.
