The reporter saw in a self-study room on Crystal Street in Zhangdian District that there are three rooms for consumers to study, one of which has an area of about 30 square meters, and there are 10 sets of tables and chairs in the room, which are placed in two rows with their backs. There are partitions and curtains between adjacent tables, and eye-protection lamps are placed on the tables.
Mr. Guo, the person in charge of the study room, told reporters that the study room is decorated in the style of a Korean study room, focusing on quiet and comfortable. "Now the people who go to the study room to consume are basically preparing for the postgraduate examination, public examination, examination compilation, and certification, and most of them are between the ages of 18 and 30. They value the learning environment the most, and the study hall solves this problem, so they feel that 'paid self-study' is worth the money. Mr. Guo said.
Study room: from a hard to find to a tepid one
In fact, as early as 2019, "paid study rooms" set off a boom in China. According to CCTV News, nearly 1,000 new paid shared study rooms were added across the country in 2019. Nowadays, many study room operators say that it is the off-season for study rooms.

In Mr. Guo's view, it is difficult to do study room business nowadays, because of the single profit model, there are too many study rooms of the same type, a few tables and chairs, and a quiet environment can be opened. At the same time, many training institutions also provide self-study room business, which not only has a stable customer base, but also can provide learning, exam tutoring and other services, which has robbed many customers.
The entry threshold of the study room is low, the product homogeneity is serious, and the income is not considerable. In order to attract more consumers and increase the revenue of the study room, Mr. Guo converted the first floor of the store into a coffee shop. "If we only do self-study rooms and provide environmental services, I believe that we will soon be eliminated from the market. In addition, some consumers said that they wanted to go to the study room on weekends to read books and relax, but the study room was full of candidates preparing for exams, and the overly dull environment made them very stressed, so it was better to choose to find a library or coffee shop. Some consumers also said that the comprehensive conditions of the study room are very good, but they are a little high, and the cost of 300-400 yuan a month is prohibitive.
Study room: The shared space should be scientifically subdivided

Some people in the industry pointed out that the study room can not only provide a relatively single commercial service, and the future development of the study room must have more value-added services.
